Draft prepared 9 Aug 2026. Publish only after the canonical entity record and named reviewers are confirmed. Items in [square brackets] need your input.
This page explains how content on intextconcept.com is researched, written, reviewed and maintained. We publish it because we ask readers, journalists and search systems to treat what we write as reliable, and that request only means something if the process behind it is visible.
Who writes this content
Every article on this site carries a named author. We do not publish anonymously and we do not publish under invented bylines. Authors are people who work at IntExt Concepts and who have direct, practical experience of the subject they are writing about — designers, project managers and procurement staff who specify these materials and run these sites.
[NEEDS INPUT: list of named authors with roles, years of experience and qualifications, linked to their profile pages.]
Who reviews it
Content is reviewed before publication by someone with relevant hands-on responsibility. Anything touching building codes, fire safety, structural work, electrical or plumbing design is additionally reviewed by a qualified professional, and the reviewer is named on the page. Where we are not qualified to give an opinion, we say so and point to the body that is.
[NEEDS INPUT: named technical reviewer(s) and their registration/qualification.]
How we source facts
We separate two kinds of information and we never blend them into a single figure.
First-party data comes from our own project records — bills of quantities, awarded subcontract rates, purchase records, programme dates. When we publish it we state the sample size, the period it covers and how it was aggregated. It is anonymised: no client is identifiable and no individual project’s commercial terms are disclosed.
Secondary data comes from published sources. We prefer, in this order: government bodies and standards organisations (Bureau of Indian Standards, the National Building Code, municipal authorities, the Central Pollution Control Board); established industry institutions (the Indian Green Building Council, GRIHA, the World Green Building Council, the World Health Organization); and the research arms of major real estate consultancies (CBRE, JLL, Cushman & Wakefield, Knight Frank, Colliers). Commercial market-research houses are used only for context and are always named in the sentence, because their headline numbers are estimates rather than measurements.
We go to the original document. We do not repeat a statistic we found on another blog without finding where it came from, and if we cannot find the primary source we do not publish the number.
How statistics are presented
Every statistic on this site carries the figure, the source, a link to the source, the publication date, the geography it applies to, and the period it covers. If a figure has been converted between currencies or units, we show the conversion and the rate used. If a figure is an estimate, we call it an estimate.
Prices and costs
Interior costs move, and they vary enormously by specification. Any rate on this site is dated, tied to a stated material grade and scope, and marked as indicative. We publish ranges rather than single numbers wherever the honest answer is a range. No cost figure here should be treated as a quotation; a real quotation requires a site visit and a drawing set.
Corrections
If we get something wrong we fix it and we say what we fixed. Substantive corrections are noted at the foot of the article with the date. If you believe something on this site is inaccurate, write to [NEEDS INPUT: corrections email address] and we will respond.
How often content is updated
Every page carries a published date and a last-updated date. Cost pages, statistics pages and anything referencing current market data are reviewed at least quarterly. Technical and definitional content is reviewed annually or when a relevant standard changes. Research assets state their next scheduled update on the page itself.
Commercial disclosure
IntExt Concepts is an interior design and turnkey execution studio. We sell the services we write about, and readers should factor that in. Our commitment in return is specific: we do not overstate what we can deliver, we do not disparage named competitors, we do not accept payment for editorial coverage of a product or brand, and where we recommend a material or approach we explain the trade-off rather than only the upside. Any commercial relationship that affects what we have written will be disclosed on the page.
Use of AI
[NEEDS INPUT: confirm your policy and we will state it plainly here. Recommended wording, if accurate: “AI tools may be used to assist with drafting and editing. No article is published without being written, verified and approved by a named human author with relevant experience, and no statistic, project detail or technical claim is ever generated by a language model.”]
Reusing our work
You are welcome to cite our research, statistics and guides, including in commercial publications, provided you attribute IntExt Concepts and link to the original page. Our research assets carry a suggested citation string. If you need the underlying data, a chart in a different format, or a comment from one of our specialists, contact [NEEDS INPUT: media contact].
